Antihistamines

Antihistamines for Allergies

Antihistamines are drugs that come in the form of pills, liquids, capsules, and chewable tablets. They stop or lessen the severity of allergic reactions by combating the effects of histamine.

Antergan was developed in 1942 in France. This antihistamine was the first to ever accurately treat humans.

Antihistamines were the first drug on the market to provide dependable relief to most of the symptoms of allergies and  the common cold. By 1950, they were being mass produced.
